Once We Install Your Crawl Space Encapsulation, We Maintain It!
We Do Crawl Space Maintenence & Inspection
Crawl spaces are very helpful when you have to do many of the important DIY jobs that include things like running electrical wiring or coaxial cable, fixing plumbing and drainage issues, but other than that, most people do NOT want to spend much time under their house. In our everyday lives, it is easy to forget. So often the crawl space is treated with an out of sight, out of mind? However, crawlspace encapsulation maintenance should not be treated that way.
That is why we do crawl space inspection and maintenance for you!
Crawl spaces are great to have when you need to access electrical wiring, ductwork, and plumbing and drain pipes. Aside from these times, how much thought do you give to the crawlspace under your home? If you are like most homeowners, probably not a lot because it is out of sight, so it is out of mind. Here in Northeast Alabama where humidity can often be cut with a knife, it pays to have your crawlspace not only encapsulated but also inspected periodically.
Encapsulated Crawl Space Project Quote Inspection
We are glad to inspect under your house to give you a free estimate on a potential crawl space encapsulation project. During our initial crawlspace inspection, we will look for any kind of standing water and assessing the overall humidity levels. We will look to see if you need an access door, sump pump, drainage, and get accurate measurements. After that point, we will discuss details with the client on details such as vapor barrier thickness, dehumidifier, etc. in order to provide an accurate price quote.
Ongoing Crawl Space Maintenence
After we install crawl space encapsulation, we will check your crawl space on an ongoing basis bi-yearly with a program that is much like that of a termite bond. Clients tell us all the time about how they love the peace of mind that our professional encapsulation inspections provide.
During a crawlspace maintenance inspector, our inspector technician will look for things that may have happened since the encapsulation. We will do crawl space inspection and repair in the process that includes:
- Check the Santa Fe dehumidifier filter
- Inspect the Sump Pump
- Access door functionality in the crawl space entrance
- Look at the polypropylene encapsulation barrier membrane (animals & pests that may have caused damage) or loosened encapsulation liner tape exposing dirt or foundation walls with sags
- Look for debris to remove
- Inspect the perimeter drain
- Fungal/mold issues (there should be none!)
- Check for water in crawl space during the inspection. Wet crawl space is not something you want to ignore! Sometimes we even catch leaky water pipes for homeowners!
Crawl space maintenance is essential to the success of your encapsulation! Rest assured that we will fix any crawl space problems that we discover during the inspection. Being on our maintenance plan will help keep your encapsulation investment at tip-top shape so you do not have to worry.
Ease your peace of mind! Let us be your eyes and ears to what is going on under your home!
